Gerald Jerome “Jerry” Mantell, age 102, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by family at Luther Crest in Allentown, PA.  He was born on May 11, 1923, in New York City, the son of the late Joseph and Ethel (Resnick) Mantell.   Jerry earned a BSc in Chemical Engineering at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and his PhD in Organic Chemistry at New York University where he was awarded the first NYU DuPont Fellowship.  His distinguished career included dozens
