Funeral Home Questions?

1. What services do you provide?
We offer traditional funerals, memorial services, graveside services, cremation, pre-planning, veteran honors, and grief support.

2. What is the difference between a funeral and a memorial service?
A funeral typically includes the body and takes place soon after death. A memorial service is held without the body present and can take place at any time.

4. Can I personalize the funeral service?
Absolutely. We encourage families to add meaningful touches from music and readings to themed décor, video tributes, or even unique locations.

5. What should I do when a loved one dies at home, in a hospital, or at hospice?
Call us right away. We are available 24/7 and will help you through the next steps with dignity and support.

6. What clothing should we provide for our loved one?
You may provide any clothing that feels right for your loved one formal, casual, religious, or personal. We also offer basic burial garments if needed.

7. Is embalming required?
Not in most cases. Embalming is generally needed for public viewing or if there is a delay in services, but it is not required for direct burial or cremation.

8. Can we have a viewing without embalming?
Private, closed-casket viewings may be possible with refrigeration. For public open-casket services, embalming is t necessary.

9. How long can we wait to have the funeral?
Services can be scheduled within days or even weeks, depending on family needs and whether embalming or refrigeration is used.

10. Can children attend the funeral?
Yes. Children are welcome, and we’re happy to help guide families on how to explain the experience to young ones.

11. Can the funeral service be held somewhere other than your facility?
Yes. Services can be arranged at churches, homes, parks, or any meaningful location, with proper permissions.

12. Do you offer livestreaming or video of services?
Yes. We provide livestream and recording options for those unable to attend in person.

13. Do you provide services for veterans?
Yes. We assist with military honors, VA burial benefits, and interment at national or veterans’ cemeteries.

14. Do you offer eco-friendly or green burial options?
Yes. We offer biodegradable caskets, natural burials, and work with green-certified cemeteries when available.

15. What happens if death occurs during the night or on a holiday?
We are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Simply call us and we will assist you immediately.

Cremation Questions?

1. What is cremation and how is it performed?
Cremation uses intense heat to reduce the body to bone fragments, which are then processed into fine remains (ashes).

2. What is the difference between direct and traditional cremation?
Direct cremation has no service or viewing beforehand. Traditional cremation includes a viewing or service before cremation occurs.

3. Can we have a viewing before cremation?
Yes. Viewings are common and can be arranged before cremation, often with embalming.

4. Is a casket required for cremation?
A combustible container is required, but it doesn’t have to be a traditional casket. We offer affordable cremation containers.

5. How long does cremation take?
The cremation process itself takes 2–3 hours, but documentation and scheduling may delay the process.

6. How do I know I’m receiving the correct remains?
We follow a strict identification and verification process before, during, and after cremation. Witness cremation options are also available for peace of mind.

7. What kind of urn should I choose?
We offer a wide variety, from traditional urns to keepsake jewelry, scattering tubes, biodegradable options, and custom memorials.

8. Can we divide the ashes among family members?
Yes. We provide smaller keepsake urns and memorial jewelry so multiple family members can each have a portion.

9. Are there rules about scattering ashes?
Scattering is generally allowed with proper permissions. We can help you navigate any local, private property, or environmental regulations.

10. Can ashes be buried?
Yes. They may be interred in a cemetery plot, family property (where legal), or placed in an urn garden or niche.

11. Are cremations performed individually?
Yes. We cremate only one person at a time, in accordance with law and ethical standards.

12. What if we don’t claim the cremated remains?
We store ashes securely. If unclaimed after the legal holding period, we follow local guidelines for interment.

13. Can cremated remains be transported by air?
Yes. Airlines and TSA allow ashes to be carried in appropriate containers. We provide guidance and TSA-approved urn options.

14. What alternatives to traditional urns are available?
You may choose biodegradable urns, glass art infused with ashes, cremation jewelry, memorial stones, and even unique options like vinyl records or fireworks.

15. Can pets and humans be cremated together?
No. Laws require separate cremation facilities. However, many families co-mingle ashes afterward in a shared urn or memorial.

16. Do you offer cremation for pets?
We do offer or coordinate pet cremation services with trusted providers. Ask us for details.
