David W. Eckhart

David “Dave” Wayne Eckhart, 65, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospice on the morning of Tuesday, July 21, 2026. He was loved by his family as a husband, father, brother, and uncle. 

Dave was born on November 29, 1960, to the late Paul and Mary (Campbell) Eckhart. He was a member of the National Automatic Sprinkler Fitters Union Local #669 for more than 30 years, retiring at age 55. Dave was an avid motorcyclist throughout his life. Dirt bikes and street bikes brought him immense joy, whether he was riding, racing, or watching others compete, and he continued to follow motocross long after he retired from the sport. Dave was also a passionate golfer, spending much of his retirement on the course with his brother, friends, and work buddies. His garage serves as a testament to his commitment and passion for these hobbies. 

Dave is survived by his wife, Sally; son, David; and siblings, Paul (Joyce), Sandra, Debra and sister-in law Diane. Predeceased by his brother Donald and brother-in-law Mark.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11AM to 2PM at the Olde Homestead Golf Club Carriage House located on Route 309 at the entrance for the public driving range and par three course.
