Jamie J. Covino

Jamie J. Covino, 72, of Bethlehem Township, passed away on August 2, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital–Anderson Campus.

Jamie was born in Fountain Hill on September 4, 1953, the daughter of the late Constantine and Virginia (Chiadis) Compos. She was married to Anthony P. Covino for 35 years.

Jamie was a gifted stained-glass artist, devoted mother, and passionate educator whose creativity, kindness, and generosity touched countless lives. As the owner of Creative Glass Works, she spent more than four decades creating the iconic Moravian Stars that have become a cherished and enduring part of Bethlehem’s holiday tradition, bringing beauty and light to homes, businesses, and celebrations throughout the community.

Jamie also found great fulfillment working with children as a member of the teaching support staff at Fountain Hill Elementary School, Nitschmann Middle School, and Marvine Elementary School.

Above all, Jamie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and dedicated mother whose children were the center of her life, always offering unwavering love, encouragement, and support. Her warmth, creativity, strength, and compassion will be remembered by all who knew her, and her legacy will live on through her family, her students, her artwork, and the Bethlehem community she loved.

Jamie was first a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem and later a faithful member of Grace Church in Bethlehem, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony P. Covino; sons Michael J. Kroeger, Adam A. Covino, and Andrew Kroeger (fiancé of Tiara Macklin); her brother, Stephen C. Compos; her sister, Teresa A. Falk, wife of Rev. John Falk; and her granddaughter, Emma Laudenslauger.

Viewing and Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Herron Funeral Home, 458 Center Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
