John G. Englesson, II, 73 of Center Valley passed away on August 7, 2026 surrounded by his family at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill.  John was the husband of  Anne E. (Yavorski) Englesson, they would have been married 39 years on September 12th.

 

John was born in Bethlehem, PA on March 25, 1953, son of the late George John and Jeanette (Fardis) Englesson.

 

John graduated from Lehigh University in 1975  with a BS in Chemistry  and later received his MBA from Lehigh University.

 

John is the owner and is President of 6.023 Corporation d.b.a. zAxis Corporation, a company dedicated to advising business leaders on profitably growing their businesses. He has served in a number of executive management positions, as well as on several boards of emerging technology businesses. He was one of the principal owners of Chadwick Telecommunications Corporation and the “Chadwick Family” of Companies.

 

John currently serves on the Board of Directors for Embassy Bank for the Lehigh Valley and has volunteered his time with numerous community organizations, including his current participation in the Allentown Economic Development Corporation as Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of its Planning Committee. He has also served on the Mayor of Allentown’s Transition Team as the Chair of the Community and Economic Development Committee, the Bethlehem Economic Development Corporation as its President, the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation as its Chair, the Rotary Club of Bethlehem as its President, and the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association as its President and Scholarship Chairman for Homer Chapter #65 in Bethlehem.

 

John is a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Bethlehem.

 

He was season ticket holder for the Baltimore Raven’s Football team for many years.

 

John is survived by his loving and devoted wife Anne, their son George John Englesson, II; brother Greg Englesson husband of Suzette, sister Connie Weil wife of Ken, nieces Laurel and Alaina.  Also survived by sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s and their families.  Predeceased by a nephew Alexander.

 

Visitation on Thursday August 13, 2026 from 6PM to 8PM in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 West Union Blvd. Bethlehem, PA  18018.

 

Funeral Service on Friday August 14, 2026 at  11AM in the Cathedral, with a visitation from 10AM to 11AM in the Cathedral. Burial to follow in Nisky Hill Cemetery in Bethlehem. Funeral arrangements are by the Herron Funeral Home Bethlehem.  www.HerrronFuneralHomeCares.com
