Kevin A. Schutt

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin A. Schutt, 70, on July 21, 2026.

Kevin was a resident of Bethlehem and had spent the majority of his life in Allentown. He was a proud graduate of William Allen High School, Class of 1974.

If you knew Kevin, you knew his incredible generosity and kindness. He was the type of person who would truly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Selfless by nature, Kevin always placed the needs of others before his own. He was the person family, friends, and neighbors called whenever they needed a helping hand, and he never hesitated to answer. Helping others brought him great joy, purpose, and fulfillment throughout his life.

Kevin was an avid collector who enjoyed acquiring all kinds of treasures. He seemed to have every tool imaginable—and often more than one of each. A true jack-of-all-trades, he could tackle nearly any project, whether it was replacing windows, building fences, repairing cars, or lending his skills wherever they were needed. His most treasured possession was his late father’s 1969 Dodge Super Bee, a car that held deep sentimental value and kept his father’s memory close to his heart. Kevin also enjoyed hunting and fishing, not so much for the sport itself, but for the opportunity to spend quality time with the family and friends he loved.

Kevin was a devoted and proud father to Michele Schutt (Tyler Allen) and grandfather to Hannah and Sarah Allen, who he loved very much.  He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Zosky; two nephews; one niece; and their families.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Albert J. Schutt and Doris (Edick) Schutt. Kevin often spoke of the day he would be reunited with his parents and grandparents, whom he missed dearly.

In accordance with Kevin’s wishes, he was cremated, and his ashes will be scattered in the woods. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be arranged by his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michele L. Schutt to establish an education fund for Kevin’s granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah Allen. Checks may be made payable to Michele L. Schutt and mailed to:   John F. Herron Funeral Home 458 Center Street Bethlehem, PA 18018.
