Scott Daniel Chunka, 54, of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly on December 3, 2025. Scott was the devoted husband of Lilrene Smith, with whom he shared more than 20 years of love, partnership, and laughter. Born on May 22, 1971, in Piscataway, NJ, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Jeanette (Krachie) Chunka. Scott attended Phillipsburg High School and later graduated from West Virginia University and was part of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Scott worked as a Senior Systems Analyst for Telephone Systems Hibu (formerly Yellowbook) and was awarded the Hibu Hero Award in 2022.   Earlier in his career served at Dun & Bradstreet and the FAA Federal Credit Union. Known for his reliability, patience, and willingness to help anyone who needed it, Scott was the person colleagues trusted to solve problems and get things done.

A true kid at heart, Scott found joy in all things Disney. He loved sharing the “magic” with his family and approached every trip as its enthusiastic commander—planning, organizing, and ensuring everyone experienced the wonder he felt. Some of his happiest memories were created in those parks. With his nephew Jakob as the Millennium Falcon co-pilot and nieces  Emery and Ensley on the Cinderella Carousel.

Scott was also a loyal supporter of the New York Giants and New York Yankees, greeting every season with humor and unwavering optimism. He enjoyed golfing, particularly outings with his brother Bobby and brother-in-law Travis, where friendly competition and shared laughter were guaranteed. At home, he adored his Golden Retriever, Banks, who rarely left his side.

Scott will be remembered for his warmth, humor, steady presence, and the way he made others feel supported and included. His loss leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved him.
