Elizabeth A. “Betty” Hahalis, 75 of Bethlehem died on August 11, 2018 at home surrounded by her family


Betty was born in Gilberton, PA on May 2, 1943 daughter of the late William B. and Evelyn (Stefero) Urban


Betty was a graduate of the Allentown School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and received her B.S., from Moravian College in Bethlehem in 1972


Betty worked for the State of Pennsylvania as a Register Nurse, specifically dealing with Nursing Home Compliance


Betty was a livelong member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Bethlehem. She was a former council member, served on the Board of the Building Fund and was active in the annual church bazaar


Survivors: Betty is survived by her sons Alexander G. Hahalis of Phoenix, AZ and George A. Hahalis, II of Lititz, PA; five grandchildren Ariana, Joshua, Jiada, Alexander and Allison. Predeceased by her daughter, Anastasia G. Hahalis, on February 7, 2014


Service: There will be a viewing on Wednesday August 15, 2018 from 7PM to 9PM with Panahida Service at 8PM in the John F. Herron Funeral Home 458 Center At Market Street in Bethlehem. Funeral Service will be on Thursday August 16, 2018 at 10AM in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church 980 Bridle Path Road Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial to follow, in the Union Cemetery of Hellertown
