Nancy E. Mazziotta, of Allentown, passed away peacefully in her home on January 6th, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Louis F. Mazziotta. They would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on June 26th.
Born in Williamstown, NY, Nancy was the daughter of the late Harold K. & Bernadine E. (Miller) Helms.
Nancy graduated from Liberty High School in 1957. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Moravian College in 1961 & later received her Master’s degree in Education from Lehigh University. From a young age, Nancy was devoted to service & teaching, including Sunday school at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Bethlehem.
She spent her career teaching first & second graders at Farmersville Elementary School in the 60's & 70's, where she touched countless young lives before retiring.
Nancy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown & and was deeply involved in her community. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels & supported many local events, including Musikfest, Christkindlmarkt & May Fair.
Nancy & her husband shared many cherished traditions, including celebrating New Year’s Eve with close friends in Times Square, NYC watching the ball drop. She was a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and held season tickets for years. She put the magic in Christmas for decades at their annual open house for the entire family.
Nancy enjoyed gardening in her yard, trips to the casinos & dining out at local restaurants.
She had a passion for traveling & exploring & inspired others to do the same. Known for her kindness and thoughtfulness, Nancy approached life with gratitude and optimism. She truly lived her best life ever.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Louis F. Mazziotta; her son, Michael M. Mazziotta of Allentown; her grandson, Matthew L. Mazziotta; and her cherished cats, Cleo and Lily.
She will be missed by her friends & family, including her cousins, nieces & nephews who loved her dearly.

I miss Nancy every day. She would have done anything for anyone; there will never be another woman like her. She loved the boys (Lou, Mike and Matthew) fiercely.
She will forever be missed.
