. The couple shares two daughters, and one granddaughter, with a little one on the way. Bob was a devoted husband, father, “Pappy”, brother, and friend, who valued relationships above all. He had a generous spirit, a kind heart, and was the life of any party.
Bob was born in Mineola, NY on April 13, 1964, son of the late John and Maureen (Hegarty) Tighe. He grew up on Long Island and was the second-youngest of seven. He loved playing hockey and remained a loyal Rangers fan until his last day.
He graduated with a BA in business from St. John’s University in Queens, NY where he met his future wife on the first day of freshman year when they parked next to each other and bonded over having the same car, a Datsun 310.
For much of his career, he was a shoe designer. Bob was creative, entrepreneurial, and adventurous. In recent years, Bob enjoyed being a groundskeeper at the Steel Club in Hellertown. He was adaptable, passionate and dedicated in everything he did, always making friends along the way. In his spare time, he mastered the art of smoking meats and loved nothing more than to feed friends and family. He loved shooting clays and was an avid hunter. Bob looked forward to annual vacations to St. John, USVI, his happy place, and home away from home. He made many lasting memories there for his family, and shared the beauty of the island with everyone he could.
Bob is survived by his wife Sheryl, his daughters Alana Greenfield wife of Andrew and Deirdre Tighe,
