A Legacy of Compassionate Care
Dr. Stanley E. Yellin, 78, of Bethlehem, passed away on February 28, 2026.
Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on December 27, 1947, Stanley dedicated his life to learning and to the care of others. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania before attending medical school at Boston University. He went on to complete his residency in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Dr. Yellin practiced family medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown for many years, where he was known for his compassionate care and dedication to his patients. He also served on the faculty of the Family Practice Residency Program at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Stanley had a deep love for nature and especially enjoyed peaceful walks and road trips with his wife. He cherished spending winters in Sebastian, Florida, and was known for his competitive spirit, particularly when it came to duplicate bridge.
He is survived by his wife, Karen E. Yellin; daughters, Deborah Yellin and Sarah Yellin; stepchildren, Elizabeth Willey and Michael Willey; and his sister, Harriet Yellin.
A Time of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Herron Funeral Home, 458 Center at Market Streets, Bethlehem, PA 18018. www.herronfuneralhomecares.com
