Ernest Earl Rehrig, Jr.

Ernest Earl Rehrig, Jr., 79 of Allentown passed away on December 10, 2025 at Jewel Health Care in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Janette (Benjamin) Rehrig.

Ernest was born in Allentown on September 6, 1946 son of the late Ernest Earl and Beatrice (Trexler) Rehrig, Sr.

He was an assembly, production and  maintenance technician at Mack Trucks retiring after many years..

He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1964-1967.

He was a former member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Western Salisbury.  Ernest was an avid bowler, tennis player and golfer.  He coached youth baseball, softball and football sports .

Survivors: Daughter Jessica Schreck wife of Herbert, sons Michael Rehrig husband of Jennifer and Andrew Rehrig; four grandchildren Cailie and Olivia Rehrig, Erik and Abigail Schreck, two great-grandchildren Owen and Ryleigh; brother David Rehrig.  Predeceased by a brother Ronald Rehrig.

Viewing & Time of Remembrance: Tuesday December 16, 2026 from 3PM to 4PM followed by Remembrances at 4PM all at the Sell-Herron Funeral Home 1145 Lehigh Street Allentown.
