Mary Anne C. Guro, 84 of Northampton passed away at home on January 6, 2026. She was the wife of the late Edward A. Guro; they were married on November 25, 1961.
Mary Anne was born in Bethlehem on February 19, 1941, daughter of the late Frederick and Catherine (Ripper) Williams.
She was an active member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church and still sang in the Funeral Choir.
Mary Anne was a devoted community volunteer. She served as a court advocate for Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, past President of the Bethlehem YWCA Board, past President of the Board of Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, was active in the PTA and Cub Scouts, and was one of the original Musikfest volunteers. Recognizing her dedicated service, Mary Anne was a former recipient of the YWCA Woman of the Year Award.
Survivors: Daughter Mary Elizabeth Rotz wife of Drew of Bethel Park, Pa, sons David E. Guro husband of Maryann of Coopersburg, Michael A. Guro husband of Bethany of Bethlehem, and James F. Guro husband of Martha of Earleville, MD, sister Catherine Brown wife of William of Lewes, DE, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. Mary Anne was predeceased by a sister Dawn Freese and brothers Frederick Williams and John Williams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026, at 1:30PM with a visitation from 12:30PM to 1:30PM at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Funeral arrangements by the Herron Funeral Home in Bethlehem. www.Herronfuneralhomecares.com
